Alan E. Haines

Alan E. Haines, 79, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Pfister) for 49 years, devoted father of Brian, Michael (Jo), and Paul (Melissa), and proud grandfather of Andrew, Molly, Alex, Joey, Alison, Emily, and Nicholas. Alan was born in Faith, SD to the late Hazel and Willard Haines. He graduated from Newell High School as the Valedictorian in 1959 and graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines in 1963. He went on to the University of Arkansas were he earned his PhD. 

He is survived by his brothers, David (Tami), Glen (Micki), and Wayne (Linda), all of Faith. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cincinnati. Condolences to rohdefuneral .com.
