On May 28, 1982, Deana married the love of her life, Brent Taylor, with whom she built a beautiful family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kayla, and a cherished "Nina" to her beloved grandchildren, Madilyn and Kingston. Her family was the center of her world, and her unconditional love nurtured them deeply. Deana forged a remarkable career in the insurance industry, a field she bravely navigated at a time when women were underrepresented. Her determination and resilience were inspiring, a testament to her spirit of never backing down from a challenge—unless, of course, a mouse was involved. Her caring nature and unwavering love touched countless lives. Her extraordinary life included significant achievements. On September 28, 1996 displaying remarkable bravery, Deana rescued a sleeping homeowner from a burning house in New Underwood, South Dakota. For her heroic actions, Governor Janklow declared November 7, 1996, as "Deana Taylor Day" in the state and she received an award of heroism. Later, in 2020, she reached the pinnacle of her professional career, becoming President of the South Dakota Big I, a truly remarkable accomplishment. Deana is survived by her husband, Brent; her daughter, Kayla (Justin) Wulf; her grandchildren, Madilyn and Kingston Wulf; her brother, Ray (Laura) Jeppesen; her mother-in-law, Joann Bloom; and her sister-in-law, Pam (David) Smith.
