Dianne Stotts

Dianne Stotts, age 66, of Murdo, S.D., died Monday, June 5, 2017, at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre.

Dianne Renee Talley was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Sturgis, the youngest child of Clayton and Edith (Snyder) Talley. She spent her early childhood years in Stoneville. They moved to Fruitdale where she attended schooling while living on a nearby ranch. She graduated in 1969 from Belle Fourche High School and proceeded on to National American University for business.

Along the way, she married Jim Pelle, adding two daughters to the family while starting their life in Rapid City. They moved to Murdo in 1978. She later married Raymond Stotts of Okaton, adding his two children to the family as well as two more of their own.

Her loves in life varied, but above all, her love for her family was strongest. An avid gardener, her flowers brought joy, especially sunflowers. Growing up on a ranch her love of animals continued strong as well, always caring for one more pet. Her favorite pastime was going to rummage sales and secondhand shops looking for bargains.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; three daughters, Stephanie (Jim) Poppen of Pierre, Stacey (Kenny) Booth of Vivian, and Carrie (John) Kerns of Mesa, Ariz.; three sons, Jeremey (Kirsten) of Rhame, N.D., Rick of Murdo, and Josh Stotts of Tuscon, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Fred) Sanders of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and one brother, Larry (Janet) Talley of Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, father-in-law, Harold, and many aunts and uncles.

Sservices were held Saturday, June 10, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo with Pastor Ray Greenseth officiating.

Interment was at the Murdo Cemetery.

Arrangements were with Rush Funeral Home of Philip.
