Gene Robert Voss

Gene Robert Voss was born February 13, 1950 in Faith, South Dakota to Rudolf and Alta "Ruth" Voss. He married Hon S. Voss of S. Korea on March 23, 1995. They had 4 children and 5 Grandchildren.

Gene was a dedicated husband, father, grand-father and servant to the Lord. As much as he loved his family, he loved his faith in Jesus. The Lord was the center of his life and he knew that his time was close. He used to say that when it was his time to go, he would gladly go with open arms.

Gene was extremely proud of his military service in the U.S. Army. He joined the Army to serve first in Vietnam and then later retired as a Vietnam Veteran with the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC) E-7.

As someone who served, he understood and was proud of the commitment he made to our country. He made the choice to defend our democracy.

Gene passed away on February 17, 2024 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Hon Voss; his children, Randy, Kathy, Mary and Angela; his brother, Larry and his sister, Joan; his grandchildren, Josh, Mia, Jacob, Ellington & Bella; his nephew, Daniel; and nieces, Natasha & Vanessa.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, his brother, Burnette, and his sister, Jeri Sue.
