Jimmy Mike Clark, age 63, Rapid City, S.D., died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, in Rapid City.
 
James Michael "Jimmy Mike" Clark was born Oct. 8, 1954, the second child of James Edward and Eleanor (Rowen) Clark. He grew up in Wall and received his education in Wall, graduating in 1972. Jimmy was active in band and several sports.
 
After graduation, he moved to different areas and held various jobs including some time at the Homestake Gold Mine. Jim would eventually head off to meat cutting school in Minnesota to become involved in the family business, Clark’s Food Center. Settled in Wall, Jim would become active with the softball league playing for the Cactus Cafe "Green Machine." He also was with the Wall Volunteer Fire Department. In April of 1980, Jim married Marsha Lytle and cherished their time together.
 
After the selling of the family business, Jim Mike worked for the Badlands Bar for many years. He worked various positions until moving to Rapid City in 2010. Jimmy work various jobs and had recently been working for Aramark Dining Services at the School of Mines and Technology, lastly as a cashier. Jimmy spoke often of how much he really enjoyed working there and being around the students and co-workers.
Survivors include his brother, Tom, Pahoa, Hawaii; nieces, Kali Tinnell, Tricia Linder, Greer/ Greenville, S.C.; half sister, Valerie Sump, Newton, Kan.; great-nephew, Alex Fraser, Florida; and great-nieces, Ally Tinnell, Florida, Sydney Tinnell, Summer Tinnell, Abby Linder and Emma Linder, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Jimmy Mike was preceded in death by his father, James "Jimmie" Clark; mother, Eleanor Clark; sister, Janette Fraser; and his nephew, Kevin Fraser. 
 
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the United Methodist Church in Wall.  The dress will be causal.
 
Arrangements are with the Rush Funeral Chapel of Wall.
