JoAnne D (Sammons) Quatier, age 82, died on March 12, 2023 in Nashville,TN.
JoAnne was born August 13, 1940, in Fosston, MN to Floyd and Ruby (Albery) Sammons. She grew up and graduated from Midland High School in Midland, SD. JoAnne married Robert (Bob) Quatier on September 20, 1958 in Midland and then she and Bob moved to the Washington, DC area. She was employed by the National Bus Military Bureau in Arlington, VA. She and Bob moved to Rapid City, SD where they raised their children and JoAnne graduated as a registered nurse from the Rapid City School of Nursing. She was employed as an RN in Rapid City and then in Sioux Falls when they moved in 1985. She retired in 1991. JoAnne loved to play board games and card games, going to casinos, dot-to-dots, and her black cat, Lady.
JoAnne is survived by one daughter, Colleen (Ron) Borstad of Nashville,TN and one son Brad (Mary) Quatier of Kalispell, MT; four grandchildren- Brittany (Shane) O’Brien of Nashville, TN; Arik (Allison) Borstad of North Ridgeville, OH; Libby (Chris) Rohlik of Red Wing, MN; and Bridger Quatier of Missoula, MT; five great-grandchildren Reid, Ruby, Sage, Leo and Florie; a sister Arlyne (Billy) Markwed and a sister-in-law Emily Sammons, both of Midland.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents Floyd and Ruby Sammons; her brother Ronnie Sammons; her sister Shirley (Sammons) Fosheim and brother-in-law Joe Fosheim.
