Joseph Allen

    Joseph Allen, age 51, of Hot Springs, S.D., formerly of Rapid City, died  Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
    Joseph Perry Allen was born Dec. 14, 1964, in Pine Ridge, the son of Wesley and Barbara (Ainslie) Allen. He grew up in Buffalo Gap and graduated from Rapid City Central High School.
    As a young man he worked at Black Hills Works as a driver taking clients back and forth to work at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Due to health reasons, he retired in 2010.
    Joseph was united in marriage to Amanda L. Fredericksen Oct. 25, 2013. They continued to live in Rapid City until moving to Hot Springs  June 8, 2016, where he has since resided.
    Joe loved going to the car races, fishing, watching cartoons and especially spending time with his niece and nephew.
    Survivors include his wife, Amanda Allen, Rapid City; his nephew, Charles Joseph "CJ" Allen, Tucson, Ariz.; his niece, Tyanne Crimson Hill, Douglas, Wyo.; his stepmother, Linda Allen, Glenrock, Wyo.; aunt and uncles, George and Kay Ainslie, Philip, Mary Ellen and Patrick Hart, Rapid City, Rita Ainslie, Sacramento, Calif., Regina Ainslie, Meridian, Idaho, Luella Hick, Buffalo Gap, and Larry and Kay Allen, Bremerton, Wash.; several cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
    Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rosanna Marie Brandenburg.
    Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m  Friday, Sept. 30, at the First Wesleyan Church located at 202 E. St. Francis St. in Rapid City.
    Interment will follow the services at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Buffalo Gap.
     Arrangements are with Rush Funeral Home of Philip.
