Nancy Lee Veal

December 1, 1955 - October 16, 2015

Nancy Lee Veal, 59, of Belle Fourche died October 16, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family, following a struggle with cancer.

She was born December 1, 1955 in Lemmon, South Dakota to Francis and Lorraine Veal. She attended elementary school at Chance School and High School at Bison, South Dakota, graduating in 1974. She attended Black Hills State University, graduating in 1993 with honors.

Nancy was united in marriage to Randy Vetter in 1974 and to this union 3 boys, Jared, Tracy and Kelly where born. She married Carl Chenoweth in 1996. Nancy has been working at the First Western Insurance Agency for many years.

She was a member of the Moreau River Extension Club in earlier years. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading and gardening. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Grateful for sharing her life are her mother and father, Lorraine and Francis Veal of Belle Fourche; her sons, Jared (Sara) Vetter and Tracy (Megan) Vetter all of Belle Fourche and Kelly Vetter of Gillette, WY; brothers, Larry (Verlyn) Veal of Bison, SD, Bill (Jean) Veal of Gillette and Corbin Veal of Aberdeen, SD; sisters, Brenda (Martin) Munoz of Denton, TX and Lorna (Kelly) Shoemaker of Faith, SD; grandchildren, Bristen and Alexandra and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Chenoweth; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Doris Veal and maternal grandparents, Tom and Helen Anderson.

A Ceremonial Tribute was held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 21 at the United Methodist Church in Belle Fourche with the Reverend Bob Duemig officiating. Inurnment took place at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
