Silver Phoenix Brunson
Silver loved her siblings and cousins dearly. Even though she was shy she had many friends. She enjoyed going to school, her teachers, her cats (when she could catch them), baby chicks, going to the park, water balloon fights, strawberries, chocolate chip cookies, and riding the lawnmower and four-wheeler. Just last week she competed at the field day and won two medals. Silver really enjoyed her therapists and doctors as they became like family. She always looked forward to her trips to Gillette and Shriner’s Children Hospital in Minnesota. She loved swimming in the hotel pools on her medical trips.
Her sweet, kind soul will forever be remembered for her mischievous grin, bright blue eyes that would turn gray and her negotiating skills. Silver is now running free, healthy with God in the arms of Grandma Jane, and playing with her cousin, Remi Jane.
Survivors include her parents Cody Brunson and Alisha McConnell; her sister Paislee and her brother Jack; her maternal grandparents Paul and Gwen McConnell, and Johnie Saucerman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Silver was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Charlie Brunson; her paternal grandmother Jane Brunson Livingston; and her cousin Remi Jane Brunson.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Kadoka City Auditorium, with Pastor Jesse Taylor officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour preceding the services at the auditorium.
Interment will follow the luncheon at the Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, South Dakota.
The family asks that everyone wear the color pink as this was Silver's favorite color.
