Violet Krambeer

Violet Krambeer, 98, passed away September 9, 2019at Southwest Long Term Care in Bowman, ND where she had resided for one year and eight months. Pastor Ed Kvaale will officiate the celebration of life for Violet September 27,  2019 at the Reva Hall, Reva, SD at 2pm.
Violet was born September 5, 1921 at Glendo, SD to Harvey and Lydia (Smith) Wilkinson. She was the third of eight children. Violet attended Glendo School through the eighth grade. She then attended Hettinger High School for a short while and received her GED later in life.
​Violet married Robert Lloyd Krambeer June 20, 1942 and had two children, Donald and Darlene. Bob and Violet worked for George Jesfield near Lodgepole. Then they worked for Fred Laflin for 12.5 years near Sorum. They moved east of Prairie City for 1 year and finally moved to Buffalo in 1963. There they lived across the street from the old high school and boarded many rural students over the years, whom many of them were still near and dear to her heart. Violet was an active member of the Grand River Luthern Church and Ladies Aid, assisting elderly people to appointments in Buffalo.  Going to church was a must to Violet and the most important thing in life, along with the love of her family.
Bob passed away February 26, 1971. Violet continued to board students and worked various part time jobs. These jobs included managing the motel, cleaning the clinic for Dr. Joe Lonecarvich for 26 years, along with cleaning the post office and church. She retired at age 88.
​Violet is survived by her son Donald Krambeer, Buffalo,SD, her daughter Darlene Welch (Mick),  Ludlow, SD; Grandchildren; Kathy Krambeer, Portland, OR, Lark Welch (Chad Schon) Bismarck, ND, Jean Bellamy (Will) Papillion, NE, and Lacy Schneider (Jeromy), Ludlow, SD. Great Grandchildren, Jaya Bellamy, Dawson Schneider, and Hannah Schneider; Sister Bessie Campbell, Mesa, AZ, and Brother Harold Wilkinson (Esther) Frazee, MN.Violet is preceeded by her parents, Harvey and Lydia, her husband Bob, sisters, Dorothy, Daisy, Lila, and brothers, Glen and Stan.
In Lieu of flowers make a donation to a charity that is near and dear to your heart. Celebration of life will be September 27th 2:00 p.m. at Reva Hall.
