Vonda Lea Kirkpatrick

    Vonda Lea (Alleman) Kirkpatrick, 78 of Pierre, S.D., died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.        
    Vonda was born Sept. 25, 1937, to Austin and Audrey (Parks) Alleman in Pierre. She was baptized in the Methodist church in Pierre. She was united in marriage to Charles Kirkpatrick Dec. 28, 1957 in the same church.
    She liked gardening, knitting, keeping a very clean house, and taking care of her family. She also loved baking her famous chocolate chip cookies that her son, Kenny, would sneak off and eat when he knew supper was right around the corner and her other son, Mike, would barter for big bucks back in school.
    Vonda is survived by her husband, Charles, Pierre; two sons: Kenny Kirkpatrick, Rapid City, and Mike (Lisa) Kirkpatrick, Pierre; two granddaughters, Brittney (Kreighton) Baxter, Pierre and McKayla Kirkpatrick, Pierre.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Austin, mother, Audrey, and brother, Jerry Alleman.
    Services were, Monday, Sept. 19 ,at First United Methodist Church     Burial was at the Scotty Philip Cemetery
