Wallace C. "Kenny" Neville

Wallace C. "Kenny" Neville, age 68, of Philip, South Dakota, died on Friday, March 27, 2020 east of Billsburg on Highway 34.
Wallace Clinton Neville, better known as "Kenny" by family and friends, was born March 25, 1952 in Kadoka, South Dakota to Robert and Arlys (Hansen) Neville.
Kenny graduated from Philip High School then headed to Watertown Business University where his met his future bride.
Kenny was united in marriage to Nancy Dawn Rogers on June 3, 1973 in Lead South Dakota, and to this union three children, and later eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter were born.
He later began working as a road grader for Haakon County. This opportunity led him to 42 years of service that included road grading and ultimately the Haakon County Highway Superintendent position until his retirement in October of 2013.
Kenny was not the only name this gentle man knew. His family also knew him as husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, hunting buddy, the fisherman, papa, no-toes, boss hog, and I am sure the list goes on. The most important name to him was always "leader of our family", and he loved us so much. We knew we were the single most important thing to him, and we all know how
he felt about hunting and fishing!
He had a way of teaching us through his fishing and hunting about life, love, and how to treat people and nature. Plus, there are just a "few" trophy mule deer, antelope and some monster bass that he liked to talk about now and then. Kenny touched a lot of lives through his hunting, fishing, and love of youth sports. He became so tickled to be collecting tickets at tournaments, yelling for the next heavy weight state champion, and freezing at all the football games he could stand! He loved his "Fitch boys", William Crowser, "the Parson's kids" as well as special fishermen Brynn and Randy Crotteau.
Survivors include the love of his life, Nancy of Philip; three children, Memory Neville and son Kaden of Rapid City; Clint Neville (and wife Miranda) of Martin and their three children: Addison, Kennedy and Grayson; and Lacie Neville-Dirks of Rapid City and her children RhiAnna (and her child Adalynne Venus) and Leighton Young all of Rapid City. Papa Kenny was blessed with eight grandbabies and one great-grand baby whom he was so excited to meet! Also surviving are two brothers, Bobby Gene Neville of Rapid City, and Randy Neville (and wife Bessie) of El Paso, Texas; one sister Molly Neville-Kukal (and husband Marty) of Garrison, Montana; an Uncle Jerry Neville (and wife Joy) of Philip, and an Aunt Grace Mack of Rapid City as well special lifelong friends Mark, Pat, Chad, and Kathy Hanrahan; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father Bob, on March 14, 2020; his Mother Arlys on September 22, 2009; a sister Marilyn Neville on July 24, 1992; a granddaughter Elizabeth; grandparents Clinton and Florence Neville and Bud and Marie Hansen; Aunt and Uncle Lila and Caroll Ames; and Uncle Jim Mack.
