Betty Loreen (Peters) Borders

Betty Loreen (Peters) Borders, 92, of Benton, Ky., passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015. 

Betty was born north of Okaton on April 13, 1923, to Fred and Ethel (Dobbin) Peters. She married Lloyd Borders of Murdo and they had four daughters.

She is survived by her four daughters Charlene LaVail Pratt of Benton, Ky., Anita Loreen English of Benton, Ky., Myra Jean VanBaale of Newton, Iowa, and Glenda Loy Burback of Henderson, Colo.; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Freddy Peters of Kadoka, Allen (Chip) Peters of Murdo, and Alvin Butch Peters of Rapid City; two sisters Grace Carney of Delaware and Blouie Oldenkamp of Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Borders, her parents Fred Peters and Ethel Dobbin Peters, sister Wilma Uhlir and brothers Clyde, Olin and Dale Peters.

Services were held on July 9, 2015, at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West. Betty was laid to rest beside her husband Lloyd.

Arrangements were with Finbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
